Annette Williams

Ms. Annette Evon Williams was born on February 11, 1959 in Gainesville, Florida to Reverend Frank and Mother Annie Bell (Wilson) Williams, both of whom preceded her in death. She was raised in Copeland Settlement, and received her education in the Alachua County Public School System, ultimately graduating from Eastside High School, Class of 1977. During her years of employment she held several positions, and always obtained the role of Supervisor/Manager wherever she worked. Annette had a cheerful heart and the broadest grin. She also had a love for helping anyone who was in need whenever and however she could. No one that she met remained a stranger for long. She exuded the most unique, fun-loving personality, very reserved, yet outspoken in her own way. She loved to go fishing, singing with her sisters, and watching her favorite classic Western television shows. She was a member of New Hope Church in Gainesville, Florida, where she served as an Usher. In the midst of their mourning, her life, love, and special memories will be cherished in the hearts of; her Daughter, Shantal McGill (Charles Brunson); her Son, Calvin Williams (Nekil Dunham); Ten Grandchildren, Varion McGill, Jr. (Kia), Shanteria McGill (DeShawn), Victoria McGill, Kaylana Williams, Charles Simpson, Te'Asia Simpson, Nicholas Simpson, Calvin Williams, Jr., Caleb Williams, and Khamari Williams; One Great-Granddaughter, Ziani McGill; Nine Sisters, Dorothy Smith, Cathy Williams (Dale), Eula Clark, Avis Clark, Anna Williams, Marilyn Roberts (Charles), Sharion Davis (Charles), Karion Alston (Richard), and Sharon Brown; Four Brothers, Frank Williams (Shelba), Sylvester "Pop" Williams, Albert Williams, and Jeffrey Williams; Sister-In-Law, Rosemary Williams; a vast number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws, other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Vandolf Williams, one sister, Jessie McNeil, and her newborn infant, Ronnie Williams. Public Visitation and a Wake for Ms. Williams will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Hope Church, 2616 SE 35th Street, Gainesville, FL, 32641, Elder Dale Williams, Pastor. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM at The Family Church, 2022 SW 122nd Street, Gainesville, FL 32607, Sean Taylor, Executive Pastor, with Elder Dale Williams, Officiating. (There will be no interment following.) Family and friends are asked to meet at The Family Church at 12:30 PM to form the Cortege for the procession.
