Daisy B. Watson

Daisy B. Watson was born on September 1, 1939 in Brandford, FL to the late Annie Mae Boks-Gordon and Robert Boks, Sr. She received her education at Consolidated High School in Lake Butler, FL. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age. She attended Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Fort White, FL for many years. She later joined Faith Temple Ministry under Apostle Henry Wilson where she served as the Mother of the Church and the financial secretary. She served her final years at the Abundant Love Christian Worship Center. There she found her second family where all called her Mother Watson and treated her as such. Daisy met the love of her life, Simon Watson, Jr. and they were united in holy matrimony on August 29, 1959. This union was blessed with four children. Daisy was a devoted wife and mother. She worked alongside her husband as they worked their farm. She enjoyed cooking and helping others. If she had and someone needed, she shared. Family was important to her. She brought up her four children and instilled the desire to learn and grow in each. She also showed the same love and caring to her nieces and nephews. She was a favorite to many. Daisy also believed you gave God your best, which included how you presented yourself. She dressed to impress. Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Simon Watson, Jr., two sons, Simon C. Watson, III and Ray Anthony Watson; Sisters: Aileen Berger, Pauline Boks, Mae Helen Gainer, Reather Mae Broome, Rose Ella Boks and Odessa Boks Dupree; Brothers: Robert Boks, Jr. and Sylvester Allen. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter, Simonette W. Jackson, Tamarac, FL, devoted son, Eric Z. Watson (Dianna) Duluth, GA, two daughters-in-Law, Pamela Watson, New Orleans, LA and Lisa Watson, Jacksonville, FL; her caring grandchildren, Tequette Y. Turner (Mark), McDonough, GA, Xavier J. Jackson, Tamarac, FL, Nina T. Watson, New Orleans, Simone K. Jackson, Ft, Lauderdale, Simon C. Watson, IV (Audrey), New Orleans and Gregory J. Graveside Services for Mother Watson will be Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 2354 Watson Street, Fort White, FL, with Bishop Andrea Haynes, officiating.
