Mrs. Lesley Ann Howard

During the morning of January 1, 1992, Lesley Ann first graced us with her presence. She spent the next thirty two years of her life charming her two older sisters, Brittany and Courtany, and quickly earned her first family nickname, runt of the litter. During her childhood, her parents Janie and Morris, and her sisters assigned numerous pet names for Lesley, including Smu, Wetumplia, Lelly, Lelliness, Lellard, Lelly Belly and Weswey. Later on friends lovingly called her Lilly, Lelly Belly or Lulu. She had assumed the title aunt Belle for her beautiful nieces and nephew. Her cherished presence was electric, her spirited voice was resolute and full of confidence. Lesley excelled in academics and was highly competitive in school and was recognized early on by being a member of Beta Club and was actually a published poet. She developed her love for God and enjoyed dancing and had more rhythm and curiosity than her parents were used to. Lesley was always a social butterfly enjoying friendships of her own class of mates as well as the friends of her adoring sisters and their circle of friends. Lesley earned an academic scholarship to Wallace State where she studied her basics that lead to her transferring to Shelton State in Tuscaloosa Al. She gave birth to a beautiful son , Kamdyn, when she was only nineteen years old. It was love at first sight. Lesley Ann worked and continued her studies, mostly online, and earned her Bachelor’s degree from University of Alabama in Birmingham May of 2019. During her time in Tuscaloosa, she worked for Olive Garden and met a host of friends including Tyler Howard, whom she married March 1, 2019. They made their home in Ross Bridge where Lesley began her career at FIS as Agile Scrum Master before beginning her career with Amrock as an Engineering Team Leader, then promoted to Agile Coach in 2023, working with teams globally. Her success there was evident, acquiring credentialing to instruct engineers in the developmental agile practices and was able to certify young IT candidates for their training. Lesley mentored many. She inspired and motivated IT leaders with an ease that marked her as a trendsetter in the development of solutions for improved technology applications. She led her teams not as subordinates, rather as equals and was always slow to subject any of them to criticism or discipline. She was brilliant, inspiring and kind in her role. Lesley gave birth to her second son, Lincoln, our little firefly, on April 25 of 2022 and the joy he brought was tripled by the love of Tyler, Lesley and Kamdyn. Lesley continued to work and devoted much of her time and efforts pouring her love into young Kam and Linky, while nurturing her beloved family. Tyler, Lesley Kamdyn and Lincoln moved to St Augustine Florida in fall of 2023 . Their hope was to relocate home to Alabama, in just a few short months. On Nov 26, Lesley Ann passed in to heavens gates while traveling back to St Augustine after a brief visit to Alabama for Thanksgiving. Lesley loved trivia and playing brainy games, especially with Kamdyn. The game was always a quirky challenge, lovingly dueling the other in the arena of facts and fun. Kam definitely won his titles in Mommy Lesley trivia. Lesley was not only aesthetically beautiful, she enjoyed interior design and was known for her elaborate party planning, and it was evident in the amazing bashes she threw for each birthday for the boys. She had a high sense for fashion and a whimsical vision. Family was always front and center for Lesley and she took the role of being a mother very seriously and maintained a deep love for her Alabama family especially her two sisters. One thing is for certain, Lesley knew how cherished and loved she is. Her short life was a blessing and she was loved by everyone who knew her. The achievements she earned with her talents, versatility and her ability to lead do not compare with her deep commitment and devotion to her family. She loved completely and unselfishly. Her sudden loss is incomprendable for her entire family and tribe. Lesley was a globetrotter, and had spent the past year traveling both nationally and abroad including several cruises with Tyler, Kamdyn, Lincoln and once with her dad. Recently she had traveled to Miami for Amrock and she enjoyed it so much, she hoped to assume the role of training ambassador, preparing for future leadership and field training for the company she so loved. Though our hearts are literally broken, we are finding refuge in our collective faith and are using this pain to find ways to honor sweet Lesley. In Lesley’s memory, a scholarship fund for both Kamdyn and Lincoln Howard has been set up at Regions Bank and another is being planned for the benefit of working mothers who are attending college. Survivors include her husband, Tyler Douglas Howard, her sons, Kamdyn Lawrence Howard and Lincoln Henry Howard. her parents Morris Grammer and Janie Aaron Grammer, her sisters, Brittany Grammer Hauser ( Michael), Courtany Jayne Grammer Smith (Wade), her niece, Marlee Hauser, her nephew, Lucas Hauser, her grandparents, Scott Grammer and Sandra Granmer, Joyce Aaron, her aunt, Sandra Aaron, her uncle, Robert Grammer (Rachael), her mother in law, Tamara Howard, her brother in law, Austin Howard, her bouncing, trouncing, fun, fun, fun canine buddy, Sullivan and a host of family and friends including her “bonus” mother, Rose Stansberry (Rodney,Sr.) Lesley was preceded in death by Henry Grammer, Ruth Scott Grammer, Olan Legg, Mae Richardson, Mike Aaron and Olivia Hauser.
