Nathaniel "Nate" McAllister

Nathaniel McAllister, III (affectionately known as Nate and called "Lil Jr." by his mother) was born on January 9, 1968 in Hollywood, Florida to the late Nathaniel McAllister, Jr. and Glade Singleton McAllister. He was the sixth child of eight children. He was raised in a Christian home and attended Atlas AME Church during his childhood years. He later joined Compassionate Outreach Ministries. He attended Buchholz High School, (where he was a member of the Class of 1985), and later graduated from Gainesville Job Corps. Nate was a successful business owner and loved to help people. He had a big heart and it showed in his giving. He supported other businesses, and he gave to countless organizations and individuals. He was classy and loved to dress. His children and grandchildren were near and dear to his heart. He loved spending time with family and friends, entertaining and having fun. He loved people and he touched so many in some way. He leaves to cherish loving memories: four children, Nicole Livingston, High Point, North Carolina; Natasha McAllister, Greenville, South Carolina; Kasey McAllister and Korey McAllister, both of Gainesville, Florida; a loving mother, Glade McAllister, his wife, Kathy McCoy-McAllister, Gainesville, FL; two brothers; Floyd McAllister (Cassandra, deceased) and David McAllister (Patricia), both of Gainesville, FL; four sisters; Diane McAllister, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Debra McAllister, Carol Enoch (Yance), and Wanda Jones (Gregory), all of Gainesville, FL; eight grandchildren, Nykiera, Amir, Amiyah, Ajori, Abijah, Jaquan, all of Greenville, South Carolina, Mariah and Ayanna, High Point, North Carolina; five aunts; Ella Singleton Hutchinson (Ollie), Jacksonville, FL, Janie Johnson, Gainesville, FL, Allie McAllister Williams (James), Gulf Port, MS, Alfreda McAllister Cowan (Alfred), Palm Coast, FL, Reverend Geraldine Singleton, Gainesville, FL; one great aunt; Willene Griffin, Starke, FL, three uncles; James Singleton (Rosa), Gainesville, FL; Winfred McAllister (Brenda), Brooker, FL and Nathaniel (Buddy) Bryant, Gainesville, FL; a God-daughter, Alana Shaivalier; Gainesville, FL; three sisters at heart; Judy King, Bonnie Means, both of Gainesville, FL; and Tonya Reddick; Tallahassee, FL; a special cousin and driver, Eric Bryant, Gainesville, FL; a special friend and driver, Parnell Jones, Gainesville, FL, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and caring friends. Visitation for Mr. McAllister will be Friday January 20, 2023 2:00PM -7:00PM at Chestnut Memorial Chapel, 18 NW 8th Avenue Gainesville, Fl . Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 21, 2023, 11:00AM Compassionate Outreach Ministries 320 S E 43rd Street Gainesville, Fl , Pastor Margaret Dennison, Senior Pastor and Bishop George Gary Bloomer, Eulogist. Interment will follow at Atlas Family Cemetery.
