Patricia Ann Dunn-White

Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12 NLT Patricia Ann Dunn-White affectionately known as "Pat", was born November 22, 1958 in Cocoa Beach, Florida, to the Late Rosemary (Johnson) and James Dunn, Sr. She lived most of her life in Gainesville, FL under the loving care of her Grandmother, Sheba Johnson, who preceded her in death. Pat was a loving and devoted wife of 30 years to Rev. Ernest White, Sr. (November 2, 1991). To their union, two beautiful children, Rashad and Jasmine, were born. She Graduated from Eastside High School Class of 1976 and received her Bachelor's of Arts Degree from the University of Florida. Pat was an avid Gator Fan and continued her loyalty to the Gators even when she moved away from Gainesville. After graduating from the University of Florida, she worked for many dedicated years in the UF College of Journalism and Communications. After retiring from UF, she relocated to Charleston, SC where she worked with the Charleston County School District. She spent a life-long career in Education with the ultimate goal of supporting and developing community youth. Most recently, Pat relocated to Jonesboro, GA to be near her children and grandchildren in the Atlanta area. During her time in Gainesville, through her best friend in high school, Judith (Camps) Matthews, Pat was inspired to join Newnans Lake Church of God By Faith under her Spiritual Father, the Late Elder Joseph Camps, Sr. She served faithfully in many capacities and enjoyed working with the youth and singing in the choir. Pat was sitting in church one Sunday when she accepted the call to transition to another level in ministry. Eventually, Ernest, Pat, and family would start Ambassadors for Christ Ministries in Gainesville, FL. During this time they had a heart for community outreach and would spend many nights preaching the Gospel at tent revivals and other street ministries. Wherever Pat resided, she made sure she was connected to a church home. She was currently a member of the Gospel Hope Church of Decatur, GA under the leadership of Pastor Rodrick Dewberry. This is just a glimpse into the life of a dedicated evangelist, minister, teacher and mentor who was committed to fulfilling her calling to lead others to Jesus Christ. Pat was grateful for how God continued to prove His love for her and was devoted to giving God praise and honor always. Lasting memories will continue to be in the hearts of her Family: Husband: Rev. Ernest White, Sr.; Children: Ernest Rashad White II, (Erica) Stockbridge, GA, Jasmine V. White, Atlanta, GA., Shenequa "Nikki" Brown (Sherman), Jordan White, both of Charleston, SC; Siblings: Michael Dunn (Regina), Janice A. Holder (Eric); Grandchildren: Twins - Uriah & Eris White, Sincere Brown, Aiden White; Aunt: Mary Edith Danzy; Uncles: Johnell Johnson, Sr. (Cynthia), and M. Charles Johnson; Mother-in-law: Mary T. White; Brothers and Sisters-in-Law: Albertha Asby, Margie Jenkins (Walter), James White, Jr.; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and special friends. On the morning of January 23, 2022 at Emory Midtown Hospital in Atlanta, GA, Pat went to be with the Lord for her Eternal Reward. Her legacy continues to flourish in the hearts of those that she has impacted and mentored along the way.
